Short version: your bag (the coins and amounts you enter) is saved only in your browser on your device. We never receive it, and we don't sell anything about you.
What stays on your device
Your holdings, your settings (order, outfits, shown coins, hidden balances), your stars, badges and streak are stored in your browser's local storage on that device. They are not uploaded to us. If you clear your browser data, use private browsing or switch devices, they are gone unless you saved a backup code (Settings, Data). A backup code is created on your device and only goes where you paste it.
What goes over the internet
- Prices. The app asks our server for current prices, and our server gets them from CoinGecko. If our server can't answer, your browser asks CoinGecko directly, and CoinGecko then sees a normal web request from you (including your IP address) under its own privacy policy.
- Videos and images. The muses' clips and images load from our host, Cloudflare, like any website.
- Anonymous usage counts. To improve the app we count events such as "a daily update was played", "Settings was opened" or "Go Premium was tapped", with the device type (phone or desktop), whether the app was opened from the home screen, the country (from the network), and how many days since this browser first visited. These counts never include your amounts, your coins' values, your name, email or IP address.
- Site analytics. We may use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and pages. It does not use cookies and does not build a profile of you.
Accounts
If you sign in as a member, your email address and password are sent to our server to check your membership. We use your email only to run your account and to contact you about it.
Sharing clips
Share clips are made on your device. Your balance is left out unless you switch "Show Bag" on before sharing. What you share after that is up to you and the app you share to.
Cookies and ads
We don't use advertising trackers or tracking cookies. Local storage on your device holds your settings, as described above.
Age
Coin Muse is meant for adults (18 and over).
